However, we caution the general public about the dangers of dental whitening, including tooth sensitivity and periodontal irritability. Therefore, it is advised that professionals carry out the treatment to reduce the potential risk when doing at home teeth whitening, which may include degradation of dental restorations, demineralization, dental colour change, and lots more.
Options of teeth whitening
There are two major ways to go about the teeth whitening process which are:

Take-home whitening kits
Whitening in the convenience of your own home? Yes, that’s right we offer take-home whitening kits that can be used in the comfort of your home. The take-home gel is available in a variety of concentrations and depending on the type of stain present as well as other patient factors, our dentists will help determine the concentration most suited for you. This viscous gel is applied for 16-45 mins to your teeth via custom made bleach trays. The results are gradual and you have complete control over how much whiter you would like to go. If you are younger than 16, you are not a candidate for teeth whitening. This is because the pulp chamber in young teeth is larger than that of an adult, and whitening treatments could cause irritation. If you are pregnant or lactating, teeth whitening is not recommended.

Good oral hygiene and regular dental cleans will help keep your teeth white for as long as possible. However, diet, ageing, alcohol, smoking, and many other factors can change the shade of your teeth over time. The good news is that when that happens, you can simply come see us for a touch-up to maintain your sparkling white smile.

The yellow discoloration of your teeth is the most common sign of damaged enamel.  However teeth whitening doesn’t damage your tooth enamel, and therefore is completely safe to use.
